Ahmad Saidy

Professional Midfielder

About me

I’m a professional midfielder with experience competing across Asia and internationally, including in the Philippines top league (Maharlika FC), the Cambodian Premier League (Prey Veng FC), and Thai League 3 (Nara United).

My journey began in The Gambia, where I developed through a grassroots academy system that ultimately led me to the United States to play college soccer. I competed at the NAIA level with Life University and Bethel University, making over 60 collegiate appearances, winning a conference championship, and advancing to the NAIA National Championship.

Internationally, I represented The Gambia U23 national team, an experience that shaped my mentality and showed me what it takes to perform at the highest level.

After college, I worked relentlessly to break into the professional game overseas, earning opportunities in multiple countries and leagues. That journey gives me a unique understanding of navigating the overseas process — from showcasing yourself, to securing trials, to adapting to new cultures and playing styles.

Alongside my playing career, I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, combining firsthand pro experience with academic expertise in performance, strength training, and athlete nutrition.
