Does Inter Miami Academy Have Open Tryouts in 2027?

As of November 2, 2026, a separate public Inter Miami Academy open tryout schedule specifically for 2027 has not been verified.

However, Inter Miami has an official academy scouting submission process and has previously organized free open trials.

This is important because Inter Miami Academy recruits players through several different pathways.

These include:

• Official academy scouting submissions

• Open tryout events

• The Inter Miami Discovery Program

• Academy partner clubs

• Local youth soccer scouting

• Competitive youth leagues

• Player evaluations arranged by the academy

A publicly advertised open tryout is only one possible way to enter the academy.

How Do I Apply for Inter Miami Academy Tryouts?

Inter Miami provides an official scouting and tryouts page.

Interested players can submit their information for review by the academy's scouting department.

The club evaluates submissions based on its recruitment criteria and current team needs.

Selected players may be contacted about potential opportunities.

Official Inter Miami Academy Scouting and Tryouts

Players and parents should prepare:

• Player's full name

• Birth year

• Primary and secondary positions

• Current youth club

• Playing experience

• Highlight video

• Full-match footage

• Parent or guardian contact information

Submitting a profile does not guarantee an evaluation, invitation, or academy roster position.

What Is Inter Miami's Freedom to Play Program?

Inter Miami previously announced Freedom to Play, a program designed to give young players opportunities to participate in free academy evaluation sessions.

The original announcement described monthly sessions beginning with players born in 2013 and expanding to additional birth-year groups.

The program allowed aspiring academy players to train in front of Inter Miami coaches and staff.

Selected participants could potentially earn academy opportunities.

The program was advertised as free.

However, players should verify whether the program is currently operating and whether registration is available for their birth year.

Can You Join Inter Miami Academy Without Open Tryouts?

Yes.

Inter Miami recruits players through multiple channels.

The club's 2026–27 academy roster announcement identified players recruited through open tryouts, scouting, and other youth clubs.

For example, Lucas Farias joined the U16 group through open tryouts, while Samuel Calderon was identified as joining the U20 group through the same pathway.

This demonstrates that open trials have been a genuine recruitment route.

However, it does not establish that every age group has open tryouts in 2027.

How Do I Contact Inter Miami Academy Coaches?

To contact Inter Miami Academy coaches, first identify the current coaching and scouting staff and then research their available professional contact information.

For youth players seeking academy opportunities, relevant positions may include:

• Academy Director

• Academy Head Coaches

• U13 and U14 Coaches

• U15 and U16 Coaches

• U18 Coaches

• Academy Scouting Director

• Academy Scouts

• Goalkeeper Coaches

• Player Development Staff

The difficulty is that these people's direct email addresses are not always published online.

A club website may confirm a coach's name and position without providing their individual email address or phone number.

Where Can I Find Inter Miami Academy Coach Emails?

Cancha Labs helps players and families search for available hard-to-find coaching emails, phone numbers, and professional contacts associated with Inter Miami Academy.

Instead of simply identifying a coach's name, the platform is designed to help users access available contact information that may not appear in official club directories.

Search Inter Miami Academy to review available contact records.

Contact availability varies by individual.

Cancha Labs does not guarantee that every coach's direct email is available, that a coach will respond, or that the academy accepts unsolicited player applications.

What Is Inter Miami Academy's Official Tryout Email?

Inter Miami publishes the following general trials contact on its official scouting page:

IMCFTrials@intermiamicf.com

This is a club-published trials email rather than the personal address of an individual academy coach.

Players should use the club's official submission process when applying for an evaluation.

Who Is the Inter Miami Academy Director?

Craig Dalrymple was appointed Inter Miami CF Academy Director in 2021.

Dalrymple previously worked in youth development with the Vancouver Whitecaps organization.

His experience included academy technical leadership, youth coaching, player development, and recruitment.

Inter Miami's announcement emphasized his role in strengthening the connection between youth development and professional soccer.

His 2021 appointment is documented, but his precise assignment for the 2026–27 season should be confirmed through an updated club source.

Who Handles Inter Miami Academy Scouting?

Inter Miami previously identified John Deeley as Academy Director of Scouting.

The club also identified Giuseppe De Palo in academy scouting coverage.

These individuals were involved in evaluating youth talent and supporting the club's recruitment structure.

However, their historical roles do not establish their current 2026–27 assignments.

Players should verify current staff positions before directing recruitment inquiries to any individual.

How Can I Find Inter Miami Academy Scouting Contacts?

The first step is to review the club's official scouting procedures.

The second is to research the current academy leadership and recruitment personnel.

Cancha Labs helps users search available professional coaching and club contacts associated with Inter Miami Academy.

Inter Miami operates youth academy teams for players in this age range.

A player must meet the relevant eligibility requirements and be selected through the academy's recruitment process.

Can a 15-Year-Old Try Out for Inter Miami Academy?

Yes, players in the appropriate birth-year category can pursue evaluation opportunities.

Inter Miami operates a U15 MLS NEXT team and recruits talented youth players.

However, the club has not established that every U15 applicant can attend an open trial at any time.

Does Inter Miami Academy Have a U16 Team?

Yes.

Inter Miami's U16 team competes in MLS NEXT.

Players seeking opportunities should research the current coaching structure and follow the club's recruitment procedures.

Inter Miami's academy structure includes older youth development groups.

Its 2026–27 roster announcement references U17 and U19 players, while the competition overview identifies U17 participation in UPSL and U18 participation in MLS NEXT.

Players should verify the specific team and competition relevant to their birth year.

Can Older Players Join Inter Miami's Development System?

Inter Miami operates a U20 development group and Inter Miami CF II, its professional second team.

These are not identical programs.

A player pursuing an academy opportunity should not confuse youth development recruitment with a professional MLS NEXT Pro trial.

How Does Inter Miami Academy Scout Players?

Inter Miami operates a scouting network focused on identifying talented youth soccer players.

The club has documented scouting activity across South Florida, including local youth clubs and competitive matches.

Its scouting structure includes the Discovery Program and relationships with academy partner clubs.

What Is the Inter Miami Academy Discovery Program?

The Discovery Program is a talent-identification initiative that allows selected youth players to participate in development and evaluation sessions.

Players may continue representing their existing youth clubs while being evaluated by Inter Miami staff.

This gives the academy opportunities to observe players over time rather than relying exclusively on one tryout performance.

What Do Inter Miami Academy Scouts Look For?

The club's published scouting criteria have included:

• Technical ability

• Soccer intelligence

• Decision-making

• Consistency

• Athletic potential

• Competitive mentality

• Coachability

• Adaptability

• Performance under pressure

• Long-term development potential

Academy scouting is not based exclusively on goals, assists, speed, or physical size.

A player's ability to understand the game and develop within the academy's environment can also matter.

Does Inter Miami Scout Local Youth Soccer Clubs?

Yes.

Inter Miami has described scouting players at local youth clubs throughout South Florida.

In one Discovery Program update, the club reported that seven scouts observed 48 matches across three weekends.

Those evaluations covered youth teams in four counties.

This demonstrates that the academy has actively identified players through local competition rather than relying only on direct applications.

Which Youth Clubs Are Connected to Inter Miami Academy?

Inter Miami's Academy Partner Club Program has included youth organizations such as:

• Weston FC

• Kendall SC

• Doral West

• Miami Rush

• Miami Shores

• West Pines United FC

• Boca Soccer Club

• Fort Lauderdale FC

• Tropical Soccer

These clubs have been identified in Inter Miami's published academy partnership materials.

Partnership arrangements can change, so families should confirm which clubs are currently participating.

Do You Have to Play for a Partner Club to Join Inter Miami Academy?

No published requirement establishes that every academy player must come from a partner club.

Inter Miami has also recruited players through open tryouts and other youth organizations.

Its 2026–27 roster announcement identified incoming players from clubs including Orlando City, Galacticos, Athletum, and Weston FC.

The academy also explicitly identified some recruits as coming from open trials.

Is Inter Miami Academy Free to Join?

Inter Miami has historically described its academy as fully funded.

Its Freedom to Play evaluation program was also explicitly advertised as free.

However, families should confirm current policies regarding academy participation, travel, equipment, and other expenses.

Does Inter Miami Charge for Academy Tryouts?

The Freedom to Play program was advertised as free.

That does not mean every soccer camp or development event associated with Inter Miami is free.

Official recruitment evaluations should be distinguished from paid development camps.

Can Inter Miami Summer Camps Lead to Academy Opportunities?

Potentially.

Inter Miami previously reported that nine participants from its first summer camp program earned academy invitations.

However, attending a summer camp does not guarantee an evaluation or academy roster position.

Parents should verify whether an event is an official academy recruitment opportunity or primarily a training experience.

Where Does Inter Miami Academy Train?

Inter Miami Academy has trained at the Florida Blue Training Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The complex includes natural grass fields, an artificial turf field, and professional training facilities.

The club's published facilities information describes a 50,000-square-foot training center.

Families should verify the current training location and any evaluation venue directly with Inter Miami before traveling.

Is Inter Miami Academy Located in Miami or Fort Lauderdale?

Although the club is called Inter Miami, its academy training operations have been based in Fort Lauderdale.

Do Inter Miami Academy Players Train With Professional Players?

The academy operates within the club's broader development structure.

Selected academy players may receive opportunities to train or compete at higher levels.

However, joining the academy does not guarantee regular training with Inter Miami's MLS first team or individual professional players.

Can Inter Miami Academy Players Become Professional Soccer Players?

Yes. Inter Miami has documented multiple academy graduates progressing into professional soccer through Inter Miami CF II and the MLS first team.

The club's development pathway connects youth soccer with professional opportunities.

A possible progression is:

Inter Miami Academy → Inter Miami CF II → Inter Miami CF

However, this pathway is not guaranteed.

Not every academy player will receive a professional contract.

How Many Inter Miami II Players Came Through the Academy in 2026?

Inter Miami's official 2026 second-team season review reported:

• 39 of 43 Inter Miami II players had developed through the academy.

• Academy-developed players accounted for approximately 96% of the second team's playing minutes.

• 19 academy players made professional debuts.

• Eight players received first-team call-ups.

These figures demonstrate the importance of the academy within Inter Miami's professional development system.

He subsequently earned significant MLS first-team experience.

His progression is one of the club's established examples of academy development leading to professional soccer.

Santiago Morales

Santiago Morales joined Inter Miami's academy during its inaugural year in 2019.

He progressed through the youth system and Inter Miami CF II before signing a first-team Homegrown contract.

His pathway included professional experience with Inter Miami CF II.

Daniel Pinter

Daniel Pinter is another academy graduate who signed a first-team Homegrown contract.

His progression reflects the club's commitment to developing young players for professional soccer.

Does Joining Inter Miami Academy Guarantee an MLS Contract?

No.

Academy participation does not guarantee a professional contract, MLS NEXT Pro opportunity, or first-team selection.

However, Inter Miami has documented a genuine pathway through which selected academy players have progressed into professional soccer.

Can Players Outside Florida Join Inter Miami Academy?

Inter Miami's recruitment system places substantial emphasis on South Florida.

However, the club has recruited players from multiple youth soccer organizations.

Players outside Florida can research opportunities, but should not assume that the academy provides relocation assistance, housing, or a nationwide open recruitment program.

Any residency or relocation requirements should be confirmed directly with the club.

Can International Players Join Inter Miami Academy?

International players can research opportunities with Inter Miami Academy.

However, international transfers of minors are subject to FIFA regulations, applicable exceptions, registration rules, and immigration requirements.

A trial invitation does not automatically establish eligibility to register with the academy.

Can Players From Other MLS Academies Join Inter Miami?

Potentially.

Inter Miami's 2026–27 roster announcement identified incoming players previously associated with Orlando City.

However, league registration rules and other eligibility requirements may affect transfers between academies.

Can Academy Players Play for Inter Miami CF II?

Yes.

Inter Miami has regularly used academy players within its professional second-team structure.

Its initial 2026 Inter Miami II roster included 18 academy players on amateur contracts.

This gives selected youth players opportunities to gain professional match experience.

Does Inter Miami CF II Have the Same Tryouts as the Academy?

No.

The academy focuses on youth development.

Inter Miami CF II is a professional second team with separate recruitment procedures.

The club's published Inter Miami II scouting information states that the second team scouts players continuously but is not currently offering open tryouts or accepting trial and scouting requests.

Players should not confuse an academy evaluation with a professional second-team trial.

Why Are MLS Academy Coach Emails Hard to Find?

Professional soccer academies often publish coaching names and positions without publishing individual contact information.

You might know exactly who coaches a particular age group.

But that doesn't necessarily mean you know how to reach that coach.

Cancha Labs is not simply a directory of coaching names. Its value is helping players access available contact information associated with those coaches.

Can I Find Inter Miami Academy and Other Florida Soccer Academies?

Yes.

Players can use Cancha Labs to research available contacts associated with multiple clubs.

If you're interested in academy opportunities in Florida, you might research:

• Inter Miami Academy

• Orlando City Academy

• Competitive youth soccer development programs

Each academy has its own recruitment policies.

Players should verify which organizations accept outside inquiries before sending evaluation requests.

Why You Shouldn't Depend on One MLS Academy

If Inter Miami Academy is your dream club, research its coaching staff and monitor its recruitment opportunities.

But don't make one academy your entire development strategy.

The United States has numerous competitive youth soccer programs.

Some organizations recruit heavily through their local scouting networks.

Others offer open evaluations or identify players through youth leagues and partner clubs.

Recruitment policies can also change between seasons.

Research multiple academies that fit your age, playing level, and location.

Cancha Labs helps players access available coaching contacts across multiple clubs instead of depending exclusively on personal connections.

Its scouting system includes player submissions, youth club evaluations, academy partnerships, and historically, open tryouts.

But if you're an aspiring youth player trying to reach the right people, there's still a major obstacle.

But they demonstrate why access to the right contacts can matter.

If Inter Miami Academy is one of your target clubs, research the current coaching staff and follow its recruitment process.

And if you're serious about developing as a soccer player, don't limit yourself to one academy.

Don't wait for a scout to be your only route into competitive soccer.
