When Are USL League Two Tryouts Held?

USL League Two’s regular season takes place during the summer, from early May to mid-July. Individual clubs organize their own recruitment, so there is no single nationwide USL2 tryout date.

In our collection, January through March contains the largest group of tryout listings. November and December also include examples of clubs evaluating players before the following summer.

These dates can help you decide when to monitor a club’s announcements. They do not guarantee that the club will hold another tryout during the same month.

USL League Two Tryouts: FAQ

What is USL League Two?

USL League Two is a pre-professional soccer league with summer competition. It provides a platform for emerging and college players to compete and develop.

Are USL2 and USL League Two the same league?

Yes. USL2 is a common abbreviation for USL League Two.

When are USL League Two tryouts held?

Dates vary by club. January through March contains the largest group in our collected announcements, with additional examples in November and December. Some clubs also list evaluations closer to or after the summer season.

Is USL League Two a professional league?

USL League Two is a pre-professional competition. It is separate from the professional USL Championship and USL League One leagues.

Do you have to be a college player to attend a USL2 tryout?

Check the club’s eligibility requirements. League Two includes emerging and college players, but an individual tryout may have specific age, experience, or other participation requirements.

Do not assume a tryout is free when the listing does not include a price. Review the original announcement or ask the club about registration fees and what they cover.

Can I attend a USL League Two tryout without an agent?

Check the registration instructions. If the club invites players to register directly, you can apply through that process without having an agent arrange the evaluation.

Does attending a USL2 tryout guarantee a roster place?

No. A tryout gives the club an opportunity to evaluate you. The coaching staff decides whether to offer a roster place or invite you to another evaluation.

Are all the tryouts on this page upcoming?

No. This calendar includes past announcements and listed future dates. Use past entries to identify clubs that have recruited through tryouts, and confirm current availability through the original announcement or club.

What should I do if a team has no upcoming tryout posted?

Follow the club’s official channels and contact the appropriate coaching staff about future recruitment. Send a concise player introduction, your playing background, summer availability, and video.
