Miami FC Open Tryouts: Previous Opportunities

Miami FC has held multiple professional open tryout events in recent years.

These evaluations provide useful information about how the club identifies outside players.

Miami FC January 2026 Open Tryouts

Miami FC announced an open professional tryout for Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Miami, Florida.

The club's January 21 technical staff announcement confirmed that the evaluation would involve its General Manager, head coach, and coaching staff.

The tryout was part of Miami FC's preparations for the 2026 USL Championship season.

This was a professional first-team recruitment opportunity, not simply a youth academy evaluation.

The event has passed.

Miami FC January 2025 Open Tryouts

Miami FC held another open evaluation at Kendall Soccer Park in January 2025.

The club reported that more than 250 players from five countries participated.

Scouts from Miami, Argentina, and Brazil attended alongside Miami FC academy personnel.

After the first day, 28 players were selected to return for a second evaluation.

Following that additional assessment, two players were invited into the professional preseason environment.

One of those participants, Aaron Acloque, ultimately signed a first-team contract.

Why Is This Important?

Miami FC's open tryout process has produced an actual professional signing.

That makes the club especially relevant for players researching USL Championship open trials.

However, the selection process is highly competitive.

Only a small percentage of participants in the 2025 evaluation advanced to preseason.

Who Is Aaron Acloque? The Miami FC Open Tryout Success Story

Aaron Acloque is a midfielder who earned a professional contract with Miami FC after attending the club's January 2025 open tryouts.

His story is one of the strongest examples of how an aspiring player can progress from an open evaluation into professional soccer.

Acloque attended Miami FC's open tryouts at Kendall Soccer Park.

His performances earned him additional evaluation opportunities with the professional team.

He continued training with the first team during preseason.

In a preseason match against Florida International University, Acloque scored a goal and recorded an assist in Miami's 5–0 victory.

On March 13, 2025, Miami FC officially announced his signing.

Where Did Aaron Acloque Play Before Miami FC?

Acloque previously played college soccer at Rutgers University.

His international playing experience included clubs in Portugal and Spain.

His background included:

Was Aaron Acloque the First Player Miami FC Signed From Open Tryouts?

Yes.

Miami FC described his signing as the first in club history resulting from its open tryout process.

What Can Players Learn From His Story?

Acloque did not receive a contract immediately after the first evaluation.

He had to impress across several stages.

First, he attended the open tryout.

Then, he earned an opportunity to train with the first team.

Finally, he performed well enough during preseason to receive a professional contract.

An open tryout can get you noticed. What you do afterward determines whether the opportunity continues.

Find Miami FC Coach Emails and Pursue Your Professional Opportunity

Miami FC is one of the strongest USL Championship clubs to research because its professional open tryouts have produced an actual first-team signing.

In January 2025, Aaron Acloque attended the club's open evaluation.

He earned a preseason invitation, impressed the coaching staff, and signed a professional contract in March.

The club also held another professional open tryout in January 2026.

Beyond open trials, Miami FC operates a youth academy and USL Academy development pathway that has created first-team opportunities for selected young players.

For aspiring players, that means there are multiple potential entry points.

Eligible players can monitor future professional open tryouts.

Younger prospects can apply for academy evaluations.

Experienced players can research the club's technical staff and recruitment procedures.

But there's still a challenge.

Knowing who coaches Miami FC doesn't necessarily mean you have their direct contact information.

Professional clubs often publish staff names and job titles without displaying every individual email address or phone number.

That's why Cancha Labs exists.

Cancha Labs helps players access available hard-to-find coaching emails, phone numbers, and club contacts across American soccer.

If Miami FC is one of your target clubs, monitor official tryout announcements, research the technical staff, and prepare a professional player profile.

And if you're serious about playing professionally, don't limit yourself to one team.

Don't wait for a scout to be your only route into professional soccer.
