Does Atlanta United 2 Have Open Tryouts in 2027?

As of October 29, 2026, we could not verify an official announcement of public Atlanta United 2 professional open tryouts for 2027.

That does not mean the club is not evaluating or recruiting players.

Atlanta United 2 operates within Atlanta United's professional development structure, where players can be identified through academy development, college soccer, professional scouting, and recruitment from other clubs.

However, these pathways are different from an open tryout where any eligible player can register.

Players searching for Atlanta United 2 tryout dates, registration, or upcoming player evaluations should monitor the club's official announcements.

How to Get Scouted by Atlanta United 2

Atlanta United 2 helps bridge the gap between youth development and Major League Soccer.

Players looking to join the club should understand that professional recruitment can happen through several pathways, including scouting, academy development, college soccer, and transfers from other professional teams.

If you want to pursue an opportunity with Atlanta United 2:

1. Play at a competitive level. Develop experience in an environment that demonstrates your readiness for professional soccer.

2. Prepare recent match footage. Include clips showing your technical ability, positioning, decision-making, and performance against strong opposition.

3. Create a professional player résumé. Include your age, position, current club, league, playing history, and relevant accomplishments.

4. Research the club's recruitment pathways. Understand how Atlanta United 2 has signed players from college soccer and other professional teams.

5. Identify relevant coaching and technical staff. Research the individuals involved in player development and professional team operations.

6. Contact the appropriate person professionally. Ask whether the club accepts external player submissions or offers evaluation opportunities.

A direct email can help introduce your playing background, but it does not guarantee a trial, response, or professional contract.

Can You Join Atlanta United 2 Without Playing for Atlanta United Academy?

Yes. Atlanta United 2 has signed players from outside its academy system.

Although Atlanta United Academy is an important development pathway, the professional team has also recruited players with college soccer experience and players from other MLS NEXT Pro organizations.

In January 2026, Atlanta United 2 announced the signings of two defenders:

PlayerPrevious ExperienceMohamed CissetNorth Texas SC, Penn State UniversityMatthew SenanouColorado Rapids 2, Xavier University and University of North Carolina

Both players arrived with professional MLS NEXT Pro experience after previously playing college soccer.

Cisset played for North Texas SC during the 2025 season after being selected in the MLS SuperDraft from Penn State.

Senanou played for Colorado Rapids 2 after being selected in the MLS SuperDraft from Xavier University.

These signings demonstrate that Atlanta United 2 considers talent from outside its own youth academy.

Can College Soccer Players Join Atlanta United 2?

Yes. Atlanta United 2 has signed players with NCAA Division I experience.

Players from amateur and pre-professional leagues may pursue opportunities to advance into professional soccer.

Atlanta United 2's current recruitment decisions depend on the club's needs and evaluation process. We could not verify a dedicated public recruitment program specifically for UPSL or USL League Two players.
